About Us

Honoring Our Heroes, One Flight At A Time

Honor Flight of the Cape Fear Area (HFCFA) honors WWII, Korean War, and Vietnam War era Veterans by taking them all-expenses-paid to Washington, DC for a day of remembrance and honor as they visit the memorials and monuments built in their honor.  Additionally, we work to educate the public on the service provided by these men and women and give them an opportunity to express their gratitude.

HFCFA is an all-volunteer organization that received official recognition from the national Honor Flight Network in February 2020. We are a local 501(c)3 organization and are actively raising funds to pay for upcoming flights. We fly annually in the spring to Washington, DC for the day with 75 Veterans, 75 Guardians (one-on-one escorts for each Veteran), a team of medical professionals, and a small administration team. We need over 100 volunteers to make each flight a success.

To learn more, watch the award winning video below, which was filmed on our inaugural flight in 2022.
